Overview/Purpose
Medical Office Receptionists play an important role in caring for the patient. They are the first person of contact at a healthcare facility and must have a great attitude toward patients, providers, and staff. Medical Office Receptionist duties include several things, but some of their primary duties include:
* Greeting patients on the phone and in person
* Creating and managing an EHR for each patient
* Generating patient letters and other correspondence
* Maintaining the office schedule
* Providing patients with and updating registration forms
